One word to describe this gimbal? Just, WOW. I’ve had the iSteady M6 version for over a year (which I absolutely love), and when I saw the new M7, I knew I had to treat myself to an upgrade for Christmas. After seeing all the hype around it on YouTube, I can confidently say the hype is completely justified! The engineers at Hohem have really thought of everything a content creator could need, and the M7 delivers on every front.
What sets this gimbal apart is the Hohem Joy app, which allows you to control the gimbal while creating live content for apps like TikTok, Instagram, and others. The AI tracking can also be used without the app, making it incredibly versatile.
The gimbal comes with a durable carry case that now has room for my Zhiyun M40 fill light and extra cables. The charging cable, coiled transfer cable, and tripod attachment are everything a new user needs to get started. I’m also loving the built-in extension pole/selfie stick—it extends the gimbal by about two feet, allowing for professional-quality selfie shots without needing to carry additional equipment. Seriously, why don’t all gimbals come with this feature?
